Bloody Beggar starring Kavin in the lead is one of the more outstanding makes from 2024 that unfortunately did not work with the Tamil cine audience. However the OTT crowd, probably a niche section of viewers with a taste for outlandish black comedy, seemed to like the movie. This film is now all set for a World Television Premiere on Sun TV Tamil channel this Pongal 2025.
Bloody Beggar will be aired on January 15, 2025 (Wednesday) at 11 AM IST, as one of the Pongal special movies. Bloody Beggar is also currently available to stream on the Amazon Prime Video OTT platform in Tamil, Telugu languages with English subtitles.
Written and directed by debutant Sivabalan Muthukumar, Bloody Beggar follows the story of a lazy beggar who finds himself in trouble when a misadventure turns his life upside down. He gets caught amidst the activities of crooked individuals who want to use his life as a bait to achieve what they want.
How this lazy beggar with a story navigates through the ridiculous, strange, and witty mix-ups is what the rest of Bloody Beggar is all about. The movie, a production venture of director Nelson Dilipkumar’s Filament Pictures also stars Radha Ravi, Redin Kingsley, among other new faces. The film comes with a runtime of 2 hours 19 minutes, and has Sujith Sarang for cinematography, Jen Martin for music, R. Nirmal for edits.
