Bangladesh squad for ICC Champions Trophy announced: No Shakib Al Hasan in 15-member roster; Najmul continues as captain
The Bangladesh Cricket Board on Sunday announced its 15-member side for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy next month in Pakistan and Dubai.
Veteran Shakib Al Hasan, who remains suspended from bowling in domestic and international cricket, was not included in the side. He last featured for Bangladesh during the two-match Test series against India.
The side has been slotted in Group A along with India, Pakistan and New Zealand. It will begin its campaign against last edition’s runner-up India in Dubai on February 20.
