VIDEO | Working on my skills and speed every day to notch up wins: Sindhu

As a shift in the landscape of badminton takes place, PV Sindhu is well aware that she needs to keep replenishing her skills to be on an equal footing with the top 10 of the world and have success against them.

Sindhu, who achieved her career-best ranking of world number two, is currently ranked 14 as she takes to the court at the India Open Super 750 beginning on Tuesday.

“I am working on my skills and speed, I think that is very important for me because does not matter how much you play you still have to be perfect because now the game has been changing people have become really strong in their defence so to break that you have to work on that,” told PTI.

In her decade-long international career, her biggest learning has been to remain patient which will put her in strong stead.

“I think being patient has taught me a lot in life and waiting for the right time because sometimes the game teaches you to be patient, no matter what you have to keep waiting until you get whether it is success, the right time or whether it is the right shot, you have to wait for the right time to do the right thing,” she signed off.
