Madhagajaraja Approaches 25 Crore Milestone in Ongoing Box Office Success
The movie “Madha Gaja Raja,” directed by Sundar C and starring Vishal and Santhanam, has garnered huge success at the box office. Released on January 10 after a delay of 12 years due to production issues, the film is being celebrated for its entertaining content and has seen houseful shows during the Pongal festival across Tamil Nadu.
Originally planned for a 2013 release, the movie was made on a budget of ₹15 crore, including promotional expenses. Despite the long delay, the film unexpectedly performed well, earning positive reviews from audiences and critics alike.
Within the first two days, the film collected ₹3 crore each day, doubling its earnings on the third day with a collection of ₹6.2 crore. On the fourth day, it fetched ₹6.8 crore, bringing the five-day total close to ₹25 crore. With weekend collections expected to rise, trade experts predict the film may surpass ₹40 crore by Sunday.
By contrast, the movie “Vanangaan,” directed by Bala and featuring Arun Vijay, has reportedly collected ₹7 crore across India during its first seven days, underscoring the relative success of “Madha Gaja Raja” in comparison.
