Pant says no to captaincy for Delhi’s next Ranji Trophy game; Kohli’s availability uncertain

Delhi’s squad for the next two Ranji Trophy games has been announced. Rishabh Pant has said no to captaincy, allowing Ayush Badoni to continue as skipper.

Virat Kohli has also been included in the squad, though his participation is subject to availability.

On Thursday, the BCCI introduced a 10-point guideline for India’s contracted men’s players to “promote discipline, unity, and a positive team environment.”

One key aspect of the document is that players must make themselves available for all domestic cricket. Failure to comply could result in a loss of selection for international assignments and may affect their central contract renewal.
