Passing of Renowned Supporting Actor Jayaseelan Shakes the Industry

Supporting actor Jayaseelan, known for his roles in various films, has passed away at the age of 40. Jayaseelan gained recognition for his performance in the movie ‘Theri,’ where he featured in a memorable scene alongside Vijay, involving children singing rhymes. This role made him widely known.

In recent days, he had been suffering from jaundice and receiving medical treatment. However, his condition worsened, causing severe health complications that left him bedridden. He was undergoing treatment at Chennai’s Stanley Hospital but, unfortunately, succumbed to the illness.

Jayaseelan was not married. His funeral will take place tomorrow morning in Pudhu Vannarapettai. Several personalities from the film industry have expressed their condolences over his untimely demise.

In addition to ‘Theri,’ Jayaseelan had delivered noted performances in movies like ‘Pudhupettai,’ ‘Vikram Vedha,’ and ‘Bigil,’ where his roles were appreciated by audiences.
