BBL 2025 Final: Hobart Hurricanes beats Sydney Thunder by 7 wickets to clinch maiden title
Mitchell Owen’s 42-ball 108 took Hobart Hurricanes past the finish line against Sydney Thunder on Monday and secured a maiden Big Bash League (BBL) title for the Hobart Hurricanes at the Bellerive Oval in Hobart.
The opener’s knock, that included 11 maximums — the most by a Hobart batter in an innings, guided the home side to 185 in the 15th over with seven wickets in hand.
Matthew Wade added 32 off just 17 deliveries to deny the Thunder a fourth BBL title.
