UEFA Champions League 2024-25: Manchester City beats Club Brugge 3-1 to stay in UCL

Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City pipped Belgian side Club Brugge 3-1 to remain in the revamped edition of the UEFA Champions League, at the Etihad Stadium, here on Wednesday.

On a night when City had to win to continue in the tournament, Brugge drew first blood when Nigerian Raphael Onyedika found the net, stunning the hosts at the brink of half-time.

But Guardiola’s boys came up with a reply eight minutes after the restart, with Mateo Kovacic making it all square. Joel Ordonez then steered Josko Gvardiol’s pass into his own net, completing City’s comeback.

More to follow.
