Idhayam Murali: Atharvaa carries his father’s legacy forward

Late Tamil actor Murali came to be known as Idhayam Murali after his superhit debut movie Idhayam (1991), which is written and directed by Kathir, and is a production venture of Sathya Jyothi Films. Atharvaa is Murali’s eldest actor-son who has been part of the Tamil film industry for 15 years now. Earlier this evening, it was revealed that Atharvaa’s upcoming Tamil movie is titled after his father, Idhayam Murali

The first and second look posters of Idhayam Murali featuring Atharvaa as a medico below:

Idhayam Murali marks the debut of director Aakash Baskaran, who is also the producer of the movie. The film’s title teaser reveals that Atharvaa Murali plays a medical college student turned doctor, who is in search of his romantic interest from his school days (Preity Mukhundhan) in New York.

Actress Preity Mukhundhan is however shown to have become a NASA astronaut, and is likely in space. Kayadu Lohar plays Atharvaa’s fellow medico and his love interest during college. Interestingly, Idhayam also had Murali play a medical college student, who one-sidedly loved his fellow collegemate but a misunderstanding on his side prevents him from expressing his love.

Idhayam Murali, a production venture of Dawn Pictures also stars Natty, Thaman S, Niharika NM, Rakshan, Dravid, Angeline, Pragya, Sudhakar, Yashashree, among others.

Idhayam Murali‘s technical crew includes Thaman S for music, Manoj Paramahamsa , CH Sai for cinematography, Pradeep E Ragav for edits, M.R.Karthik Rajkumar for production design,  Ramanagirivasan, Aakash Baskaran, Dravid Selvam for dialogues, Vivek for lyrics, and Shobi for choreography.
