Dragon director Ashwath Marimuthu on cloud nine at Rajinikanth’s praise

Taking to X on Wednesday, director Ashwath Marimuthu whose recent release Dragon is enjoying a blockbuster success at the box-office, expressed his elation at getting praised by Superstar Rajinikanth. Sharing the customary picture one gets to click when called and praised by actor Rajinikanth at his residence, Ashwath Marimuthu wrote, 

 

 

Dragon has story by Ashwath Marimuthu, Pradeep Ranganathan, screenplay and direction by Ashwath Marimuthu. The movie tells a coming-of-age tale where a young man (Pradeep Ranganathan) leaves college with 48 arrears, but manages to build a good life using fraudulent shortcuts. How his lies quickly catch up to him, forcing him to return to college to clear his backlogs, is what forms the rest of the story. 

 

 

An AGS Entertainment production, Dragon also stars Anupama Parameswaran, Kayadu Lohar, Mysskin, Gautham Vasudev Menon, George Maryan, Indhumathy, among others, and has Leon James for music. The movie is one of the biggest box-office success to come out of Tamil cinema in 2025.
