Sardar 2 Prologue: Teaser feat. Karthi, SJ Suryah, Ashika Ranganath
Sardar 2 starring actor Karthi in dual roles, is an upcoming spy action thriller which comes as a sequel to the Tamil hit movie Sardar (2022). The first Sardar 2 teaser has been released under the title ‘Sardar 2 Prologue’, and the video gives glimpses of Karthi as the the senior agent Sardar Chandrabose (father), and his son ‘agent’ Vijay Prakash.
The Sardar 2 prologue teaser also gives glimpses of antagonist SJ Suryah as Muhammad Paari, the ‘Black Dagger’, and one of Sardar 2‘s female leads, Ashika Ranganath. Directed by PS Mithran, Sardar 2 takes the plot back to China where the entrapment of ‘Sardar’ supposedly began. Senior Karthi seemingly is on a revenge mission, and a new threat looms India in the form of ‘Black Dagger’.
Former police officer turned RAW agent Vijay Prakash i.e. junior Karthi is shown escaping a plane wreck somewhere with Ashika Ranganath. He was last assigned to Cambodia at the ending of the first film. While Sardar was written by PS Mithran, Pon Parthiban, Roju, Bipin Ragu, and Geeve, Sardar 2 has screenplay by Nambi, and dialogues by Rathna Kumar, Ashameera Aiyappan, and Vignesh Muniyandi.
Prince Pictures has returned to produce Sardar 2, alongside IVY Entertainment, while Dhilip Subbarayan has returned for Sardar 2‘s stunts, alongside Chethan D’souza, and George C Williams has returned for Sardar 2‘s cinematography. Unlike its prequel, Sardar 2 has Sam CS for music, Vijay Velukutty for edits, Rajeevan Nambiar for production design, MSP Madhavan, B. Sekar for art, and Poornima Ramaswamy for costume design.
