Retro starring Suriya in the lead is an upcoming Tamil language gansgter action thriller that is scheduled to release in theaters worldwide on May 1, 2025. The movie has now cleared censor formalities in India, and Retro has been certified with an U/A by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) in the country.

Retro is written and directed by Karthik Subbaraj, and the film has Pooja Hegde playing female lead. A Joint production venture of Jyotika and Suriya’s 2D Entertainment, and Karthik Subbaraj’s Stone Bench Films, Retro has Santhosh Narayanan for music, and is currently gearing up for an audio launch on April 18, 2025.
