WPL 2025: Shreyanka Patil out for season, Sneh Rana joins RCB as injury replacement
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have signed Sneh Rana as a replacement for the injured Shreyanka Patil for the remainder of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2025 season on Saturday.
Shreyanka, who has played 15 matches for RCB and has scalped 19 wickets, is ruled out of the third edition of the WPL due to an injury.
Rana, who is an all-rounder, has previously played for Gujarat Giants (GG). She joins RCB for INR 30 Lakh.
Shreyanka’s absence will further hurt an-already depleted Challengers squad. The tweaker was last year’s Purple Cap winner with 13 wickets, and will surely be a miss for the defending champion.
On the other hand, Sneh did not find any takers at the WPL 2025 auction. However, she comes off a decent domestic season, most recently leading her side to the Senior Women’s ODI Challenger Trophy.
