ISL 2024-25: How can FC Goa win the Indian Super League Shield?

The chances of Manolo Marquez’s FC Goa winning the Indian Super League (ISL) 2024-25 Shield are extremely slim but not mathematically impossible.

Currently second with 39 points, the Gaurs must win all their remaining four fixtures — against Kerala Blasters, Punjab FC, Mohammedan SC, and Mohun Bagan Super Giant — to surpass MBSG’s current tally of 49 points.

However, winning their matches alone will not be enough. Goa would also need the Mariners to lose all their remaining three fixtures— against Odisha FC, Mumbai City FC, and FC Goa. If Mohun Bagan picks up even a single point from these games, it will successfully defend its Shield.

If Goa wins its next three matches and Mohun Bagan loses all three, their clash on March 8 will become the title decider.
