Vidarbha and Kerala are locked in a tense battle for the Ranji Trophy title at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur.
Kerala is vying for its maiden title, while Vidarbha is aiming to add to its two championships, won back-to-back in 2018 and 2019.
In the final, Vidarbha posted 379 in the first innings after being put in to bat by Kerala, with Danish Malewar scoring 153.
On the final session of third day, Vidarbha secured the first innings lead of 37 runs after bowling Kerala out for 342 with Parth Rekhade and Harsh Dubey running through the latter’s middle and lower order.
In the second innings, Vidarbha extended its lead past 350 with just less than two sessions left in the game thanks to Karun Nair’s 135 and Malewar’s 73.
