DC win by nine wickets!!
Raghvi Bist into the attack. FOUR! Very short and Shafali slashes it past short third. A few singles and a FOUR to end the over! Jonassen slaps it through the off-side.
Renuka Singh to bowl out. SIX! Shafali gets lucky after Garth at deep mid-wicket couldn’t grab on to it and instead helped it over the fence. A couple of singles and FOUR! Slides in full on the pads, Shafali has a heave at it. Short third cannot stop the ball in time and it runs away.
SIX for Shafali and that’s a first half-century of the season for her! Jonassen on strike and settles for a single at deep square region. Ten coming off the Wareham over.
Garth returns. A couple of singles and FOUR! That’s 50 up for Jonassen! Finds the gap between short fine leg and deep square leg. Gets a single on the next. A miscued shot by Shafali but falls short of Kanika Ahuja at short third.
SIX! Ekta Bisht sees the ball fly over her after Jonassen pumps it over to the stands. Another SIX and it’s off Shafali’s bat this time. Skips down and smashes it over the long off fence. A few singles and that’s 15 runs this over.
Perry returns and Jonassen welcomes her back with a FOUR! Full on the pads, Jonassen nudges it fine to the fence. Make that three FOURs this over! Full on leg, Jonassen holds her shape and takes it over the bowler’s head. Hammers the next one behind square.
Wareham continues. The DC batters are restricted to running between the wickets. Wareham has slowed things down with a six-run over.
Sneh Rana to bowl her first. FOUR! Too short, on middle stump to Jonnasen, and she pulls it with ease over square leg. In the slot and that’s another FOUR in the same area! With that, a crucial 50-run stand has been crossed. A few more singles and that’s 12 off the over.

Georgia Wareham with the ball. Jonassen’s shot just beats Smriti at short mid wicket for a single. A run-out attempt! Shafali jogged back but was saved by the poor throw to the bowler’s end. Saved on the boundary line by Perry! But gets a FOUR on the next one, four byes nevertheless.
Ellyse Perry into the attack. FOUR! Just going down leg and Shafali guides it back, past short fine leg. FOUR more! Jonnasen pulls its plenty past a running deep square leg fielder who nudges it back into the cushions.
Back-to-back FOURs again! Shafali in her aggressor mode. Swings and takes it over mid off and whips the next one over square leg. Looked to go down but sliced it extra cover for two runs. DC seems to have found some footing in this chase. Renuka goes for 11 runs.
Garth to Shafali. Starts with back-to-back wides. Lucky FOUR! Takes the top-edge and lands at an empty deep backward square leg fence. FOUR more! Shafali steers it between backward point and short third. Another FOUR and this time it is Jonassen! Shorter and thumped behind square!
Ranuka continues. Another shout for appeal and this time, RCB reviews it. Umpire’s call stands and Lanning survives. OUT! What a magnificent catch at mid-off by Perry! Times her jump to perfection and completes a sharp one.

Kim Garth from the other end. Shafali drives it towards extra cover for a single and she’s off the mark as well. Lanning looking a bit rusty here. Miscues a cut shot and ball almost rolls back. Manages a single to short third. DC off to a shaky start.
Renuka Singh to start the proceedings. Length, just outside off and Lanning has no room to work with. Next one has to be bowled again, Wide! Appeal for lbw! Plenty of inswing and RCB don’t review. A couple of singles and that’s three from the over.
Can DC finish the Bengaluru leg with a win and comfortably on top of the table? Meg Lanning and Shafali Verma will need to get going immediately.

Sutherland to bowl the final over. Perry finds a single towards extra cover. Wide! Welcome run for RCB. Wareham takes it towards deep backward square leg for a run. No timing for either of the batters here. Wareham tries to find the gap between deep square and deep mid-wicket but Kapp covers enough ground. That’s two runs off the final ball.
Dropped! Charani could have had her third! Hangs in the air for a while and Shikha cannot get there in time. FOUR! Wareham with a reverse slog sweep that beats short third by a mile.
Shikha to bowl out. Kanika Ahuja takes a single and Perry is now on strike after what felt like quite a while. Takes a run at long on. OUT! Wickets tumbling for RCB! Kanika shot it straight up and Shafali at mid off takes a simple catch.

Jonassen to Raghvi. Misses the bat, stump and the keeper and that’s two byes. Thick outside edge lands in front of backward point. Another chance! Manages to chip it over extra cover. SIX! Through a leaping deep mic-wicket’s hands. What an over for Raghvi. 13 runs.
Charani returns. Raghvi finds a single after taking a step down the track and punching it towards deep mid wicket. Appeal for lbw! DC takes the review. Perry seems confident that she is safe and she’s right. Ball was pitched just outside leg. A failed run-out attempt! It could have been the game for Raghvi but Charani couldn’t take the bails off.

Kapp starts her final over with a wide. Perry pushing for doubles and Raghvi obliging. She even dives deep back at the non-striker’s end to safety. Fifty for Perry! A single to get there and RCB is certainly in the driver’s seat here.

Perry upping the tempo again for RCB, as she has many times just this season. Can she finally find a partner who will stay for a longer time? Ekta and Perry start Sutherland’s over with a couple of singles. Ekta slices the ball over point and finds two singles. SIX! Terrific sound off the bat! Slower ball, on a length outside off, Ekta on her back knee and swings at it with everything.
Minnu Mani welcomed with a SIX! Slot ball, Perry shuffled down just a bit and launched that over deep mid-wicket. FOUR! Into leg stump. Perry rocks back and powers it between deep mid wicket and deep backward square leg! 14 runs off the over.
Shikha is back. A run-out attempt? No one but the keeper looked particularly interested. And rightfully so. Ekta’s bat was within the crease. Dropped! Ekta handed another chance. Niki Prasad with an uncharacteristic drop at deep mid-wicket. Four runs and a couple of extra lives this over.
Sutherland returns. Doesn’t let Raghvi and Perry free their arms. The Aussie also survived a scare a miscued shot fell safely in the backward square leg region. Five singles coming from it.
OUT! Kapp strikes immediately after the break! Length, in the sixth or seventh stump line, Wyatt-Hodge gets a faint nick to Bryce.

Shikha Pandey from the other end. FOUR! Good length, drifitn down leg stump, Smriti pulls to fine leg fence. Full, just outside off, and beaten. Just angles away. Similar ball, Smriti slices past point for a couple of runs. OUT! SMRITI HAS TO GO! A thick outside edge after she looks to push the length ball away. But it moved away just enough and Lanning completed an easy catch.

Delhi Capitals will be the first team in the ongoing Women’s Premier League (WPL) to play on consecutive nights when it faces Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Saturday.
While it may be tough to play on back-to-back days, the Meg Lanning-led side will certainly have the momentum after it pulled off a dominant nine-wicket win against Mumbai Indians on Friday.
