How much will Vidarbha get as prize money after winning Ranji Trophy 2024-25?
Vidarbha beat Kerala to win the Ranji Trophy 2024-25 title at the VCA Stadium in Jamtha, Nagpur on Sunday.
The final finished as a draw but Vidarbha was crowned champion on Day 5 by virtue of a bigger first-innings lead.
With this win, Vidarbha clinched its third Ranji Trophy title.
Vidarbha is set to take home ₹5 crore after winning the Ranji Trophy 2024-25, according to the hike announced by the BCCI for all domestic tournaments on April 2023.
Kerala is set to get ₹3 crore after finishing as the runner-up of the Ranji Trophy 2024-25 season.
The BCCI announced a substantial hike in prize money in 2023 for senior domestic tournaments for men and women. While the hike in men’s prize money ranges between 60 per cent and 300 per cent, the two women’s tournaments have seen a hike in excess of 700 per cent.
