ICC Champions Trophy 2025: India to face Australia in semifinal on March 4

India defeated New Zealand by 44 runs in its final group-stage game of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 in Dubai on Sunday.

With the victory the Men in Blue finished top of Group A with nine points. They will now face Australia in the semifinal on March 4 in Dubai. New Zealand, on the other hand, will be up against South Africa, the winner of Group B.

India was designated to play its last-four match in Dubai on March 4 since it refused to travel to Pakistan for security reasons. Since the final positions in Group A hinged upon the outcome of Sunday’s contest, both South Africa and Australia had travelled to Dubai, awaiting to know the final semifinals fixtures.

India has faced Australia four times in the Champions Trophy, winning two games and losing one. One game between the sides ended in a no result.
