India wins ICC Champions Trophy, social media reacts: PM Modi, Sachin Tendulkar wish Men in Blue for third title

India beat New Zealand by four wickets at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday to clinch the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

Setting out to pursue 252, a half-century from Rohit Sharma set up India’s response. Sprightly hands from Shreyas Iyer and K.L. Rahul ensured India did not veer off course despite losing wickets at regular intervals.

In the first innings, India’s spin quartet of Varun Chakaravarthy, Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel, and Ravindra Jadeja halted New Zealand’s scoring rate and restricted it to 251/7.

This was India’s third ICC Champions Trophy title. Former cricketers and actors wished the Indian team on social media. Here are the reactions:
