MI in WPL 2025: Mumbai Indians’ road to the Women’s Premier League final

Mumbai Indians won the Women’s Premier League (2025) eliminator against Gujarat Giants to lock horns with Delhi Capitals in the final.

This will be MI’s second WPL final appearance. The team was crowned the inaugural champion after beating DC in the 2023 WPL final.

Facing the Capitals for the second time in the summit clash, the Harmanpreet Kaur-led side will hope to emerge victorious again.

With five wins from three matches and a net run rate of +0.192, MI finished in second place while Gujarat Giants came third, qualifying for its first-ever Playoffs to secure a 47-run victory.

Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Giants faced each other in the eliminator to clinch the final spot. MI posted a total of 213 — its highest-ever in the WPL till date — and bowled out the Giants for 166.
