KKR vs RCB: Virat Kohli completes 1000 runs vs KKR in IPL 2025 opener
Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s (RCB) Virat Kohli crossed 1000 runs against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the Indian Premier League.
Kohli achieved the feat during the opening game of the 2025 season at the Eden Gardens on Saturday. This was the Indian batter’s 33rd innings against KKR.
The Knight Riders are the fourth team Kohli has tallied 1000 runs or more in the IPL. Chennai Super Kings, Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals are the other teams in the list.
David Warner tops the list for most runs against a team in the IPL as well as in all T20s. The Australian opener gathered 1134 runs against Punjab Kings in 26 innings.
Only Warner and Rohit Sharma have scored more runs against KKR in the IPL.
