RR vs GT: Jaiswal-Suryavanshi combine for Rajasthan Royals’ highest partnership in IPL
Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Suryavanshi combined to register Rajasthan Royals’ highest-ever partnership for any wicket during the Indian Premier League (IPL) against Gujarat Titans at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Monday.
The two shared a 166-run stand for the first wicket during which the 14-year-old opener smashed his maiden Indian Premier League (IPL) century, in 35 balls, becoming the youngest to do so.
Jaiswal and Suryavanshi broke the Royals record previously held by Jos Buttler and Devdutt Padikkal, who tallied 155 for the opening wicket against Delhi Capitals in an IPL 2022 match.
Royals went on to beat Titans by eight wickets, chasing down 210 with 25 balls to spare.
