Indian footballer Rahul KP joins West Ham United: Here’s where he will play

West Ham United on Friday announced the signing of Indian winger Rahul KP, who will represent the Premier League club in an upcoming seven-a-side football tournament in the United States.

Rahul becomes the first Indian to participate in The Soccer Tournament (TST). The 25-year-old plays for Odisha FC in the Indian Super League and has seven international caps representing the Blue Tigers.

In a video shared by the London club, Rahul KP said, “Hello, Hammers fans, it’s Rahul KP here. I’m excited to play for West Ham United at TST this summer. See you soon. Come on you Irons.”

TST is a winner-takes-all 7v7 football tournament with a prize of $1 million. The 2025 edition will have 48 teams in 12 groups, with clubs like AFC Bournemouth, Villarreal CF, Borussia Dortmund, and Atlético de Madrid participating. West Ham United is among them.

TST is week-long tournament held in Cary, North Carolina. The inaugural edition of tournament was in 2023.
