IND 15-0 KAZ HIGHLIGHTS, Hockey Asia Cup 2025: India decimates Kazakhstan, finishes top of Pool A

It is an absolute demolition by India as it beats Kazakhstan 15-0 in their last Pool A match at the Bihar Sports University Hockey Stadium in Rajgir.

India will play its first Super 4 match against Korea next. 

Goal (Abhishek) – Abhishek grabs his fourth and this one is the easiest because he had an open net in front of him as the Kazakhstan keeper failed to get to the ball after rushing off his line. 

Goal (Dipreet Singh) – At this point, every Indian attack looks like it would end up in a goal. The latest does, at least, as Dipreet Singh, after making his way inside the circle, slots the ball between the legs of the Kazakhstan keeper, to score his first goal of the match. 

Goal (Sanjay Singh) – India is clinical from a penalty corner once more as Kazakhstan players are too slow in closing down. Sanjay takes the shot and hits the back of the net. 

Duisengazy has another chance to grab a consolation goal for Kazakhstan from a penalty corner but his drag flick is blocked. 

Kazakhstan gets a rare scoring opportunity as it gets a penalty corner in its favour but it fails to convert as Suraj makes an excellent save. 

Goal (Jugraj Singh) – It is a hat-trick for Jugraj as he converts his second penalty stroke f the match to increase India’s lead. The Kazakhs have been absolutely decimated by the home team today. 

India’s latest attempt from a penalty corner does not work out as the player fail to communicate properly. It still manages to keep the ball and the attack ends with Vivek taking a shot at goal, but sees it blocked. 

The fourth and final quarter is underway!

It is raining goals in Bihar as India leads Kazakhstan 11-0 at the end of the third quarter. 

Goal (Sukhjeet Singh) – Vivek makes his way inside the Kazakhstan circle and finds Sukhjeet, who scores with a first-time shot for his second goal of the match. 

India gets a penalty corner and this time, it is Abhishek who goes for the injection. Jugraj gets to the end of the injection and goes for goal but the shot is blocked. 

Harmanpreet is back on the pitch. He will surely look for more goals before the match. 

Goal (Sukhjeet Singh) – It is relentless goalscoring from the Indians, with three strikes in two minutes in the third quarter. Sukhjeet finds the net as he takes the ball around the keeper and slots the ball inside the empty net. 

Goal (Rajinder Singh) – Mandeep finds Rajinder inside the circle and the latter has enough time and space to go for the shot. It is a great shot and the ball hits the back of the net. 

Goal (Jugraj Singh) – Jugraj gets his brace as he successfully converts the penalty stroke. 

Penalty stroke for India – the Kazakhs went for a referral but loses it. Another scoring chance for India. 

India leads Kazakhstan 7-0 as the third quarter gets underway at the Bihar Sports University Hockey Stadium in Rajgir.

India found the net four times in the second quarter and leads Kazakhstan 7-0 at half time. It is safe to say, this contest is done and dusted for the Kazakhs. 

Goal (Amit Rohidas) – This time, it is experienced defender Amit Rohidas who joins the goalscoring list. India strikes from a penalty corner again and Rohidas connects well with his drag flick to find the net. 

Goal (Harmanpreet Singh) – It is about time that the Indian captain joins the party. HE strikes from a penalty corner again, and while the ball takes a couple of touches on the way in, the shot has enough power to push it inside the net. 

Goal (Jugraj Singh) – This time, India hurts Kazakhstan from a penalty corner, and it is not the usual suspect, Harmanpreet Sing,h who has scored. Jugraj Singh gets to the end of the injection and aims for the top right corner and finds it expertly with a powerful finish. 

Goal (Abhishek) – It is a hat-trick for Abhishek, who has been clinical inside the circle today. He does well to keep the ball despite being under pressure inside the circle. The Kazakh keeper rushes out to narrow the angle but Abhishek shows composure to go around the keeper and slot the ball inside the net from a tight angle. 

Harmanpreet comes close to scoring India’s fourth. The home team gets a penalty corner as expected, he takes the shot after the injection. However, he hits the post with his shot. 

India leads Kazakhstan 3-0 as the second quarter gets underway! 

Abhishek brace, Sukhjeet goal keep India 3-0 ahead against Kazakhstan at the end of the first quarter!

Goal (Sukhjeet Singh) – India threatens from the left again, and this time, hurts India. A low cutback comes in from the left, and Sukhjeet is the right at the right time to guide the ball towards the open goal. 

India gets a penalty corner in the dying stages of the first quarter!

Mandeep Singh comes close to grabbing a third for India. A melee inside the circle leads to him getting the ball at the far post. He tries to poke the ball in from point-blank range but was ultimately crowded out before he could do that. 

Goal (Abhishek) – Abhishek gets his brace with a well-taken finish. He is again in a good position as he receives the ball inside the circle. Despite being under pressure, he shows good skill to shoot on turn and hit the bottom-right corner of the goal. 

Duisengazy looks for the equaliser as he takes a shot at goal from the edge of the circle but fails to keep his effort on target. 

Goal (Abhishek) – India has its first goal. It wins the ball in the middle of the pitch and puts pressure on the Kazakhstan defence. Abhishek gets the ball near the circle and goes for the shot from distance, expertly finding the bottom corner with his effort. 

India has an early chance to take the lead through Dilpreet, but he fails to connect with the ball for a tap-in. 

And we are underway – The Hockey Asia Cup 2025 Pool A match between India and Kazakhstan being played at the Bihar Sports University Hockey Stadium in Rajgir.
