PSG’s Luis Enrique suffers fractured collarbone in cycling accident, to undergo surgery

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) head coach Luis Enrique suffered a cycling accident on Friday, the Ligue 1 club said.

The 54-year-old Spaniard was taken in for treatment by emergency services following the crash. PSG did not immediately give details on how long he might be sidelined.

Enrique, who led PSG to its maiden Champions League crown in June, suffered a fractured collarbone and will undergo a surgery.

“The Club expresses its full support and wishes him a swift recovery. Further updates will be shared in due course,” PSG posted on its X account.

The Spaniard joined the club in 2023 and has won two successive Ligue 1 titles.

He previously coached Barcelona to the continental treble before taking over as the Spain boss across two spells between 2018 and 2022.
