List of US Open men’s champions in Open era: Alcaraz wins second title in New York in 2025

Carlos Alcaraz clinched his second U.S. Open title in New York on Sunday, beating defending champion Jannik Sinner 6-2, 3-6, 6-1, 6-4 in the final.

Alcaraz is the 11th man in the Open era (since 1968) to win multiple U.S. Open titles after Roger Federer, Pete Sampras, Jimmy Connors, Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, John McEnroe, Ivan Lendl, Andre Agassi, Patrick Rafter and Stefan Edberg.

The title also took the Spaniard back to the top of the ATP Rankings.

With Sinner’s defeat, Federer still remains the last man to win two successive titles in New York in 2007-08.
