WTA Rankings after U.S. Open 2025: Anisimove makes Top 5 debut, Pegula slips
Amanda Anisimova made her Top 5 debut in the latest WTA Rankings released on Monday after her runner-up finish at U.S. Open.
Anisimova, who lost 6-3, 7-6(3) to defending champion and World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka in Saturday’s final in New York, moved up five spots to become World No. 4.
On the other hand, Jessica Pegula, last year’s runner-up, slipped from fourth to seventh after her defeat to Sabalenka in the semifinals.

China’s Qinwen Zheng, who had to miss the last Major of the season due to injury, dropped from seventh to ninth.
Two-time U.S. Open Champion and former World No. 1 Naomi Osaka moved up from 24th to 14th after reaching the semifinals of a Major for the first time since 2021.
Czechia’s Marketa Vondrousova (36th) and Barbora Krejcikova (40th), quarterfinalists in New York, both returned to Top 50.
Spain’s Cristina Buca, who reached the fourth round of a Major for the first time in her career, made a massive jump from 95th to 62nd.
Elsewhere, in the Top 100, Ekaterina Alexandrova (11th), Anastasia Zakharova (80th), Denmark’s Clara Tauson (12th), Romania’s Jaqueline Cristian (43rd), Czechia’s Tereza Valentova (77th), and Frenchwoman Elsa Jacquemot (83rd) achieved new career-high rankings.
