Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan’s “Thug Life” locks a long-festival weekend for release?

After three decades, Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan and legendary director Mani Ratnam have joined forces for the highly anticipated film “Thug Life”. The film’s shooting, which kicked off in January, was wrapped up recently with the team moving to the post-production work.

Indiaglitz already reported that the movie is planned for a grand release in Summer 2025. According to recent reports, “Thug Life” will now be released in cinemas on April 10, coinciding with the Mahavir Jayanti holiday and leading into a five-day weekend with Tamil New Year on Monday. This extended holiday period is expected to create a massive opening at the box office, with fans eager to catch the first showing.

“Thug Life” features Kamal Haasan, Simbu, Trisha, Abhirami, Nassar, Ali Fazal, Pankaj Tripathi, Ashok Selvan, Joju George, Aishwarya Lekshmi, and Vaiyapuri. With music composed by A.R. Rahman, cinematography by Ravi K. Chandran, and editing by Sreekar Prasad, this gangster action drama promises a spectacular cinematic experience.
