Trisha shares an exciting update on the much-awaited “Thug Life”!

Trisha, fondly known as the “South Queen,” has her hands full with several big projects, including “Thug Life”, “Vidaamuyarchi”, “Good Bad Ugly”, and “Vishwambhara”. She recently revealed that she’s back on set for “Thug Life”, where she stars alongside cinematic giants Kamal Haasan and Simbu, under the direction of Mani Ratnam.

Now, the team is shooting a romantic song featuring Simbu and Trisha at Mumbai’s iconic Royal Opera House. Trisha shared some images from the sets on her Instagram stories, expressing excitement over filming her “favorite song” from the film. Sources hint that the song will be a Sufi-inspired Kathak number, reminiscent of the classic “Kannalane” from Mani Ratnam’s “Bombay”.

The production team has already completed most of the film’s talkie portions, with just this song sequence and some patchwork left to wrap up. With AR Rahman crafting the soundtrack, “Thug Life” is expected to bring soulful music and memorable visuals. Produced by Raaj Kamal Films International, Madras Talkies, and Red Giant Movies, the film is set to release in the summer of 2025.
