Jailer 2: Rajinikanth shoots for new movie announcement!
Superstar Rajinikanth cemented his reign in the Tamil film industry with the blockbuster hit Jailer (2023), and the movie no doubt oiled the wheels of the septuagenarian’s career. Jailer is now getting a sequel i.e. Jailer 2, and Rajinikanth on Tuesday is said to have gone to the EVP Studios in Chennai to shoot for the movie’s announcement.
Jailer, a Sun Pictures production was famously announced with a video featuring the film’s director Nelson Dilipkumar, music composer Anirudh Ravichander, and Rajinikanth himself in all black attires. It remains to be seen what the team comes up with for Jailer 2 this time around.
Jailer 2 has been rumoured to be titled Hukum, after the chartbuster number from Jailer. Actor Dhanush, Rajinikanth’s former son-in-law, is said to be making a cameo in Jailer 2, while official announcements on the same await.
It is worth mentioning here that the first movie Jailer’s announcement promo, was also filmed in December, three years ago (2021). However Jailer was officially announced only in February, 2022. It remains to be seen if this time around Jailer 2’s announcement is made on December 12, marking Rajinikanth’s birthday.
