India and RCB pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar takes hat-trick vs Jharkhand in Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 trophy

India and Uttar Pradesh pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar claimed a hat-trick against Jharkhand in a SMAT T20 fixture in Mumbai on Monday.

The hat-trick came in the 17th over, where the UP skipper bowled a triple wicket maiden. Bhuvneshwar finished with impressive figures of 4-1-6-3 as UP beat Jharkhand by 10 runs.

Bhuvneshwar’s last T20I appearance for India was against New Zealand in November 2022.

Bhuvneshwar was signed by Royal Challengers Bengaluru for Rs 10.75 crore at the recent IPL mega auction. Bhuvneshwar was earlier released by Sunrisers Hyderabad, whom he joined in 2014. He was key to its PowerPlay and death bowling., winning the Purple Cap in 2016 and 2017. He also played a crucial role in SRH’s 2016 title win.
