Kanguva: OTT Release Date of the Suriya, Bobby Deol starrer
Kanguva starring Suriya, Bobby Deol, Disha Patani, among others is a Siva directed Tamil movie which released in theaters on November 14, 2024. The movie is now all set for a digital premiere on Amazon Prime Video. The streaming platform’s Infian handle on Friday officially announced that the Kanguva OTT release date is December 8, 2024 (Sunday).
Kanguva will be available to stream in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada languages with English subtitles. Kanguva‘s Hindi version is expected to have a delayed digital release, since the movie was also released in multiplex theaters in the Hindi belts.
Multiplex theaters in these regions have a strict 8 week window rule between theatrical release and OTT premiere, and the Multiplex Association of India representing these chains does not shy away from serving legal notices (as they did with Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2) in the event of a breach.
Kanguva follows the story of Francis Theodore (Suriya), a bounty hunter in 2024, whose connection with a child is mysteriously connected to a fierce tribal warrior’s promise to a child in the year 1070. Jointly produced by Studio Green and UV Creations, Kanguva comes with a trimmed runtime of 142 minutes, and has Devi Sri Prasad for music.
