Raghava Lawrence brings potable water to a Tamil Nadu hamlet, inspired by Super Singer participant Vishnu.
After hearing Vishnu’s narrative, Raghava Lawrence worked with local authorities to help establish a borewell in Gurukulampatti.
Vishnu, a little kid from the small town of Gurukulampatti in Tamil Nadu’s Pudukottai district, has become a symbol of hope for his people thanks to his incredible journey on Super Singer Junior Season 10. His story, which combines musical skill with a desire to effect significant change, has won the hearts of many.
Vishnu’s family, who worked as daily wage workers, lived in a village afflicted by long-standing problems, including a lack of access to safe drinking water. Despite their tribulations, Vishnu developed a passion of music. His brilliance came through during the competition’s auditions, and he was selected as one of the top contenders. On his first day, his heartfelt song of ‘Athai Maga Unna Ninaichu’ captivated the judges, which included playback veterans Mano and Chithra, as well as composer D Imman.
Ma Ka Pa Anand and Priyanka, the hosts, were moved by his impoverished origins and provided him vital equipment such as a TV and a gas cooker. Vishnu’s ambitions went beyond personal accomplishment; he wanted to help his village’s water crisis.
Raghava Lawrence, an actor and philanthropist, responded quickly after hearing Vishnu’s story. Working with local officials, he helped install a borewell in Gurukulampatti, providing inhabitants with clean drinking water for the first time. For the villagers, Vishnu is more than just a rising star; he’s a hero. As one villager said, “Clean water is life itself.” Vishnu’s voice gave us this treasure.”
This weekend, Super Singer Junior aired a special episode commemorating Vishnu’s journey, with Raghava Lawrence appearing to commemorate this inspiring story of resilience, hope, and transformation.
