IND vs WI: India records its highest score in WT20Is

Indian women’s team scored its highest team total in WT20Is during the third game against the West Indies at D.Y Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on Thursday.

India smacked 217 for four in the first innings, surpassing its previous record of 201 for five against UAE earlier this year.

Smriti Mandhana smashed 77 off 47 balls opening the innings during which she hit seven consecutive fours. In total she hit 13 fours and a six. Richa Ghosh gave the final flourish scoring the joint-fastest fifty in WT20Is off 18 balls. She hit 54 off 21 balls with the help of five sixes and three fours. Jemimah Rodrigues (39 off 28) and Raghvi Bist (31 off 22 not out) too contributed with valuable cameos.
