ISL 2024-25: What happened last time FC Goa and Mohun Bagan SG faced each other?

FC Goa and Mohun Bagan will be looking to end the year on a positive note by securing a win in what will be a closely contested Indian Super League (ISL) 2024-25 clash at the Fatorda Stadium on Friday.

Manolo Marquez’s side comes into the match in good form, sitting in fourth place in the table and having won four out of its last five games. Mohun Bagan too is in red-hot form, having won four out of five as well, sitting at the top of the table, two points clear of second-place Bengaluru FC.

FC Goa’s Armando Sadiku will be facing his former side for the first time. The Albanian was involved in a revolving-door transfer this summer when Stewart joined the Mariners while he moved to the Gaurs.

The last time these two sides met was in February in Goa. The match was a tight affair, with the Mariners coming out on top 1-0.

Goa entered the match with an unbeaten record until that point, but Dimitrios Petratos caught FC Goa goalkeeper Arshdeep Singh off his line in the 74th minute to seal a 1-0 win for the Mariners, and hand Goa its first defeat of the season.

Goa’s form would subsequently fall away, and Mohun Bagan would secure its first ISL Shield title.
