India to host Maldives for two women’s international friendlies

India women’s team is set to host Maldives for two FIFA international friendlies, the All India Football Federation (AIFF) announced on Friday.

India will face Maldives on December 30 and January 2 at Padukone-Dravid Centre for Sports Excellence in Bengaluru. The matches are scheduled to begin at 3:30PM IST.

India is ranked 69th while Maldives is at 163, as per the latest FIFA rankings released on December 13.

The Blue Tigresses last played a match at the SAFF Women’s Championships in October where they lost to Nepal in the semifinals.
