Pro Kabaddi League 2024: Dabang Delhi sets record with 14-match unbeaten streak in single PKL edition

Dabang Delhi K.C. defeated Jaipur Pink Panthers 33-31 at the Badminton Hall, Balewadi Sports Complex on Saturday. Led by Ashu Malik’s 17th Super 10 of the season, Dabang Delhi moved back to third on the points table, continuing the unbeaten streak.

The win marked a historic achievement, with Dabang Delhi now going 14 matches without a loss in PKL 11. Ironically, they broke Jaipur’s 13-match unbeaten record from PKL 10 and equalled Puneri Paltans’ 14-match unbeaten streak.

The match started with both teams exchanging points. Jaipur’s defence initially dominated, but Dabang Delhi shifted momentum in the sixth minute, with Ashu inflicting the first all out. The match featured multiple do-or-die raids and defensive plays, including a super tackle by Jaipur and a running hand touch from Sombir Mehra.

With five minutes remaining, a comeback from Jaipur, led by Arjun Deshwal, levelled the score. However, Ashu’s key touch and Yogesh’s tackle on Abhijeet Malik gave Dabang Delhi a two-point lead. In the final moments, Arjun was ruled out after a controversial call, sealing a narrow victory for Dabang Delhi.
