Forget the past, look ahead positively: that was the message T.G. Purushothaman gave as he took over the reins of Kerala Blasters as its interim head coach after the recent sacking of Swedish gaffer Mikael Stahre.
After losing six of their last seven games, the Blasters play bottom-placed Mohammedan SC in the ISL at the Nehru Stadium in Kochi on Sunday, a match that offers the Kochi-based side a wonderful opportunity to get back to winning ways.
But Purushothaman was cautious.
While the Blasters’ frontline appears good, the its defence and goalkeeper has looked shaky this season. But Purushothaman made it clear that it doesn’t help pointing fingers at anybody or worrying over the past.
