Mumbai all-rounder Tanush Kotian to join India squad ahead of Melbourne Test

Mumbai’s spin-bowling all-rounder, Tanush Kotian, has received a call-up to join the India squad in Melbourne for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy on Monday. Sportstar has learnt exclusively that Kotian will leave for Australia on Tuesday.

Kotian, who bowls off-spin and bats right-handed, was with the Mumbai Vijay Hazare Trophy team in Ahmedabad.

The 26-year-old’s departure to Australia follows R. Ashwin’s retirement last week at the Gabba.

Kotian has been one of the best off-spinning all-rounders in the Indian domestic circuit. He was previously part of the India A team, which toured Australia ahead of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy series.
