Pro Kabaddi League 11: Dabang Delhi secures spot in PKL 2024 semifinals
Dabang Delhi became the second team to secure its spot in the semifinals of Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) Season 11 after a dominant 45-31 victory over Gujarat Giants at the Balewadi Sports Complex in Pune on Monday.
With the win, it climbed to the second spot in the league table behind Haryana Steelers with the top two directly securing a berth in the semifinals.
The Delhi-based team has 81 points after 22 match league season in which it won 13 matches. It has also recorded a 15 match unbeaten streak this season.
In the previous edition, the Delhi also made it to the playoffs but were knocked out in the eliminator match.
“It’s my first time in the semifinals as captain. If we can continue the form (unbeaten streak of 15 matches), we can become the champion. We all are doing well and will keep at it,” said Delhi skipper Ashu Malik Ashu Malik to broadcaster after the match.
