Sun TV’s Sensational Ethir Neechal 2 Promo and Cast surprises ardent fans 

It is odd or sadly rare for Tamil Television watchers to get a progressive, out of the box story that breaks the usual stereotypes of a humble, soft spoken female lead marrying off to a strict, orthodox family and gets adapted to the family’s traditions. This was the standard narrative for a while, which was broken by Thiruselvam’s 2022 serial, ‘Ethir Neechal’. The serial, after running for years with overwhelming responses from fans, is now stepping up for a second edition. 

Sun TV just released the first promo of Ethir Neechal 2 that features a scene of realistically fans welcoming the cast and rejoicing the return of their favourite serial. A small girl is seen pointing at the screen with enthusiasm pointing that all the main cast is returning in their respective roles except for the role of Janani which was previously played by Madhumitha Hirannaiah is now played by Parvathy Venkitaramanan. 

A little teaser for Ethir Neechal was posted by the network that saw the writer, director Thiruselvam writing something voraciously and announcing that Ethir Neechal will continue, he is writing the answers to all the fan questions or for the societal problems too. Ethir Neechal 2 will also undoubtedly be written, directed and produced by V. Thiruselvam, as a reception of fans’ love and adoration for the talent’s creation of bold women characters who are standing up for their rights and also for the others, a remarkable change from the generic easily swayed, naive characters that has been shown for so long. 

Ethir Neechal 2 is scheduled for broadcasting at 9.30 PM on all 7 days of the week. It will be available on Sun TV from December 23, 2024.
