U Mumba secured the final playoff spot in Pro Kabaddi League Season 11, finishing fifth on the points table with a 36-27 win over Bengal Warrior in the last league match at the Balewadi Sports Complex on Tuesday.

Amirmohammad Zafardanesh scored 7 points, while Sunil Kumar registered a High-5 and Ajith Chauhan added 6 points. For Bengal, Pranay Rane led with 12 points.

After the match, U Mumba captain, Sunil Kumar said, “After three seasons, we have qualified. We secured our spot in the last match; we fought hard and earned it. Now, we are preparing for the Eliminator, semifinal, and final.”

Bengal Warrior started strong, but U Mumba quickly gained control with solid performances from Manjeet, Sunil Kumar, and Ajith Chauhan. Ajith’s raids gave U Mumba a 4-point lead, and Sunil Kumar’s all-out extended the lead to 18-10 at halftime.

In the second half, U Mumba maintained the lead, with Zafardanesh contributing a three-point raid. Bengal suffered another all-out, giving U Mumba a 14-point advantage. Despite a Super 10 from Pranay Rane and a High-5 from Nitesh Kumar, Bengal couldn’t recover, and U Mumba held on to confirm its playoff berth.

U Mumba will face Patna Pirates in the first Eliminator.

“Patna Pirates is a really good team, and it depends on who performs well on that day,” said Sunil.
