Vidaamuyarchi postponed, confirm makers of Ajith Kumar’s film!
The scheduled release of actor Ajith starrer Vidaamuyarchi has been postponed from Pongal 2025, confirmed an official starement from Lyca Productions on New Year’s eve. The makers have cited ‘unavoidable reasons’ for the film’s delay, and an official announcement on the new Vidaamuyarchi release date is currently awaited.
Vidaamuyarchi is an adaptation of Jonathan Mostow’s Hollywood road thriller Breakdown (1997), and is directed by Magizh Thirumeni. The film has Trisha playing female lead, and Anirudh Ravichander for music. Vidaamuyarchi‘s first single Sawadeeka released on December 27, 2024, and samples the viral ‘Irunga Bhai’ audio clip from a real life prank call, made to a Coimbatore based butcher.
