What type of film is Vanangaan: Makers reveal details
Vanangaan starring Arun Vijay in the lead is director Bala’s comeback film after a gap of 5 years. Vanangaan releases on January 10, 2025 marking Pongal, and in lieu of the film’s release, director Bala, and film’s producer Suresh Kamatchi have revealed details about the movie.
While Vanangaan trailer hinted of a crime action drama, with a deaf and mute lead character at the center of it all, director Bala speaking of the same has told Ananda Vikatan, “Witnessing the atrocities of our everyday society has increased the pressure (out of anger) in my body. But I cannot oppose it directly as a person. I make my leading heroes to do the same.”
While Arun Vijay is involved in a gruesome murder in Vanangaan, why the crime was committed seems to be the rest of the story. V House Productions’ Suresh Kamatchi, speaking on the type of film Vanangaan is has told Vikatan, “It will be a very heavy film. The movie will give a feeling of the heart being heavy from watching it.”
Vanangaan releases on January 10, 2025. The movie also stars Roshni Prakash, Samuthirakani, Mysskin, Ridha, Chhaya Devi, Bala Sivaji, Shanmugarajan, Dr. Yohan Chacko, Kavitha Gopi, Brindha Sarathy, Mai Pa Narayanan, Aruldass, Munish Sivagurunath, among others.
The technical crew of Vanangaan includes GV Prakash Kumar for music, R. B. Gurudhev for cinematography, Sathish Suriya for edits, RK Nagu for art direction, and Silva for stunts.
