Australia beats India 3-1 to claim Border-Gavaskar Trophy after 10 years

Australia defeated India in the fifth and final Test by six wickets and claimed the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 3-1 after 10 years on Sunday.

The last time Australia had won the series was at home in 2014-15 when it beat India 2-0 in a four-match Test series. Since then, India won four series back-to-back, including two away tours to Australia.

India began the series with a win at Perth but Australia fought back in Adelaide, winning the pink ball Test to level the series. At Brisbane, the match ended in draw.

Australia won the Boxing Day Test in Melbourne and confirmed its win in Sydney’s Pink Test.
