Lokesh Kanagaraj opens up about the “Kaithi 2” shooting and the future of LCU!

Lokesh Kanagaraj has firmly established himself as a top-tier director in Indian cinema, captivating audiences with his blockbuster Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU). Expanding this universe further, Kanagaraj is set to release “Chapter Zero”, a 10-minute short film that explores the origins of LCU, and “Benz”, a project starring Raghava Lawrence, with a story crafted by Lokesh himself.

Currently, the director is at work on “Coolie”, a standalone film starring Superstar Rajinikanth, aiming for a grand release in Summer 2025. In a recent interview, Lokesh revealed exciting plans for the future of the LCU, saying, “So far, three films are completed in the universe. I plan to make four or five more, concluding the universe with projects like ‘Kaithi 2’, a standalone for the ‘Rolex’ character, and ‘Vikram 2’.”
