Producer confirms Siruthai Siva reuniting with Ajith Kumar for the fifth time! What about “Kanguva 2”?

Suriya’s eagerly awaited magnum opus “Kanguva” stormed into cinemas yesterday amidst sky-high expectations. Directed by Siruthai Siva, the film has received mixed reviews from both audiences and critics. However, it marked a significant milestone for Suriya, becoming his highest opening day grosser with an impressive ₹36 crores worldwide.

Adding to the buzz, producer Gnanavel Raja was asked about “Kanguva Part 2″ during a press meet with Telugu media today. He confirmed, ” Siruthai Siva’s next film is with Ajith sir. He will start the shoot for that in April 2025. After completing that film, he will work on Kanguva 2.” This project, “AK 64”, marks the fifth collaboration between Ajith and Siva.

Following “AK 64”, Siruthai Siva will shift focus to “Kanguva 2”. The sequel to the blockbuster is likely to go on floors by late 2025 or early 2026, promising another epic chapter in the saga. Fans are thrilled about the dual announcement, with both “AK 64” and “Kanguva 2” trending online.
