Will Chiyaan Vikram’s ‘Veera Dheera Sooran’ arrive on Pongal against Ajith Kumar’s ‘Vidaamuyarchi’?

The Pongal 2025 box office is heating up as Ajith Kumar’s highly anticipated “Vidaamuyarchi” is officially slated for a festive release. Joining the race are Director Shankar’s “Game Changer” and Arun Vijay’s “Vanangaan”, setting the stage for a thrilling clash.

Meanwhile, Chiyaan Vikram’s “Veera Dheera Sooran Part 2”, initially expected to release during Pongal, has shifted its release to January 24, coinciding with the Republic Day weekend. This move is likely aimed at avoiding the crowded Pongal lineup while still capitalizing on a prime holiday release window.

Directed by SU Arunkumar, known for critically acclaimed films like “Sethupathi” and “Chithha”, “Veera Dheera Sooran Part 2” features Vikram in a gripping titular role. The star-studded cast includes SJ Suryah, Dushara Vijayan, Suraj Venjaramoodu, and Siddique. Produced by Riya Shibu under HR Pictures, the film’s production is nearing completion, with post-production work already underway.
