India will take on Australia in the second match of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy at the Adelaide Oval starting on Friday, December 6. The visitor leads the series 1-0 after a dominant win in the first Test at Perth.

Rohit Sharma returns to the side after missing out on the first Test and will take over the captaincy duties from Jasprit Bumrah. Shubman Gill, who scored a fifty during the pink-ball tour match against the Prime Minister’s XI, will also be drafted back in to the playing XI.

Australia will be without ace pacer Josh Hazlewood after he suffered a side strain during the first Test. Scott Boland will take his place in the team.
