AUS vs IND, 2nd Test Border-Gavaskar Trophy: Play interrupted on Day 1 due to floodlight failure
The third session of play during day one of the second Border-Gavaskar Trophy Test between India and Australia at the Adelaide Oval was briefly interrupted due to a floodlight malfunction.
The lights went off during the 18th over of the Australian first innings just as Indian pacer Harshit Rana was waiting at the top of his mark.
The lights came back on after a two-minute delay but was extinguished again just a couple of balls later. Marnus Labuschagne and Nathan McSweeney were the batters at the crease during the time of the incident.
Australia lost opener Usman Khawaja for 13 to Indian vice-captain Jasprit Bumrah after bowling the visitor out for 180 just before Tea on Day 1.
Mitchell Starc picked career best figures of 6 for 48 extending his impressive bowling record with the pink-ball. Nitish Kumar Reddy top-scored for India with 42.
